Summary

Introduced with the Climate Change (National Framework for Adaptation and Mitigation) Bill 2021, the bill: repeals the

Climate Change Authority Act 2011
; and amends the:
Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001
,
Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Act 2011
,
Clean Energy Regulator Act 2011
,
Competition and Consumer Act 2010
and
National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007
to make consequential amendments; and
Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013
to require Commonwealth entities to consider the potential risks of climate change when performing functions, duties or exercising powers, and include this information in annual reports.
